What is the most useless piece of software you've seen?

I vote for the Microsoft shortcut bar which uselessly adorns my desktop. Is there really any other software which is more useless?

More importantly, is there any way to remove it?

Not a fan of the bar either but I have seen some people put it to good use
I could create a long list but instead I'll stick to one that isn't only useless but causes problems
