Recordings - Sky+ to PC
Hi everyone,
I'm new here and this looks like an awesome forum, so I look forward to chatting with all of you.
I have a load of clips on my Sky+ box that I'd like to upload to my PC and share with you all, but I have no idea where to start and what to do. Any help would be much appreciated, preferably a step-by-step guide.
Thanks
-also, not sure if this is in the right section, apologies if it isn't.

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me,either. Just leave me alone.

Thanks rover. I will repost a thread in that section, as I'm struggling to find the guides and things I need.

RE: Recordings - Sky+ to PC
Here are a few quotes from some of the threads within this section to get you on the way.
How to get content from Sky Plus onto your PC
(01-05-2009 14:55 )Josh Wrote: These are the two most popular ways.
1. Dvd recorder. Tried and tested and very rarely lets u down.
2. Tv card. I have a duel anologue/digital card with S video input. Therefore I have s video cable between the sky+ box and the pc. To get audio, you will require an additional lead. (2 male phono to a 3.5mm stereo jack)
1. Copy to DVD
There is a great guide posted by Skateguy in the following thread.
If you would like to purchase a dvd recorder, I recommend buying one with an in-built HDD. It must also be compatible with DVD- r/rw disks.
2. TV Card
(04-11-2009 15:34 )Josh Wrote: This is the model that I have. Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1100. It has both analogue and digital outputs so I can connect my Sky box to directly record onto the PC and use an Aerial to get freeview.
Most things tech wise that you are looking for have probably been covered within the many threads in this section. If you require any further help, post ur question here. Someone will be able to help you. Good luck and I/we look forward to seeing some of your uploads.
