Red Arrows Pilot Killed Jon (Eggman) Egging 20th August 2011 Bournemouth Air Festival

Sad news of the Red Arrows Pilot killed so close to landing his aircraft on the final break run to landing not far from the display on the beach, carrying out a final treat display for spectators at Bournemouth International Airport where they were based for the show. I was attending the show at Bournemouth and enjoyed the red arrows show(until i heard of the crash around half an hour later). I had the oppertunaty to attend this show and capture some of the excitment of the Red Arrows Display (They opened the show before this tragic accident). My thoughts are with the family and the crew of the red arrows, whos public displays and red arrows aircraft have been grounded for further investigation. My cousin at the airport saw the plane go down behind the trees not far from the airport.

This picture was taken by myself on the REDS first run from right to left along the beach front after doing there opening loop to the show Red 4 Right hand side of the leader Red 1 position for the season is one the most difficult positions as a newcomer to the team!
