A fine Lancastrian legend of stage & screens big and small. He was 89 RIP

By the by, among his many film roles was Lifeforce, which is well worth recommending. He is good in it, but trust me, he won't be what you remember from it the most afterwards

He was a fine all round actor and in so many things over the years - I remember him in Bouquet of Barbed Wire and as a very scary Marley's ghost in A Christmas Carol.

I remember Frank when he played the role of Casanova.

He was one of our great character actors.
