Eurovision 2016

I see that the USA are getting to see Eurovision this year as it's being broadcast live there for the first time. There are Americans who seem quite excited by it too. How long before they want to enter?

The voting system has been changed this year, in an effort to make the climax to the show more exciting.

Most of the songs have been atrocious so far.

Australia and Israel are in it so might as well have the Yanks as well.

Much as I don't think they should really be in it I have to say Australia have the best song by miles and on merit should win imo. Doh .
I suspect it might be Russia though .

I was surprised by the UK entry. I thought it was half decent.

i suppose this gives the yanks a chance to sit and shake their heads at us for a change.

Well this year has been very poor on quality and indeed sexy outfits from female performers. Here's my top 3 in no particular order ( probably get it totally wrong ) -
The Netherlands
Lithuania
UK

My favourite song was the Bulgarian girl - Poli Genova. The Armenian, Ukrainian and Spanish birds are all rather fit though too.

The UK seemed to have a decent song for a change. I remember Joe from the Voice last year being coached by Rita Ora.

But yeah, there were quite a few voices seemingly off key tonight. I was watching the Rome Masters tennis semi-final between Djokovic and Nishikori aswell so it was hard for me to get as excited by Eurovision this time.

There's new rules in the voting apparently so I'm interested to see how that works out shortly.
