I was tempted to add Sasa Curcic,okay as a player but totally nutso as a human being,it was bizarre when he did a one-man protest at half time protesting the NATO bombing.

Ismael? Of course! Wasn't he completely destroyed on his debut by none other than Carl Leaburn? It seems strange he won a Bundesliga title with Werder Bremen and ended up at Bayern Munich.
I never actually saw Aylott play for Palace, but I do remember our fans chanting "Son of Aylott" whenever an opposition forward missed a sitter.
I remember Mark Dennis being a bit of a cult hero, even though he only played about 8-9 games. Another complete fruitcake by all accounts.
The great thing about Curcic's protest was that by the end of the year, he went to play in the USA. His Wikipedia page makes very interesting reading.
