Just a side point since when on this forum has it been necessary for anyone to justify who they are or anything regarding their personal life and reasons for being on this website. First off, I'm not sure Skully wouldn't appreciate that.

Of course 'Val' will prove who they are...no one would lie on the internet and someone couldn't at all pose as a different gender to cocktease members of a fourm...could they?

That link gives one example of when someone pretending to be something they're not may have landed people in trouble. Another, more fucked up and creepy example of someone pretending to be someone they're not is now locked in the forum's dark, dark vaults.

Nobody gives a crap who anyone else is on here, until they invite suspicion and doubt onto them. For example, nobody gave a crap who 'ValerieC' was. Indeed this may very well have been the reason why 'she' decided to post the pics that cast doubt and raised suspicion in the first place. Wasn't getting enough attention, posted pics to try and drum some up, people got suspicious, 'she' got caught out.
As has been stated before, there is a difference between creating an online persona and deception.
