RE: Phil Hughes RIP
I may aswell come clean now and admit that I've never been a fan of cricket so I had never even heard of this player. Like everybody I am in shock over the manner of his death. I never ever thought that this sport could be so dangerous. It has been pointed out that the odds of this happening is astronomical.

Very sad to hear this nonetheless - RIP Phil Hughs.

RE: Phil Hughes RIP
I am still in shock about it to be honest.
It puts a lot of stuff in perspective to be fair.
When a human life is so cruelly ended at any age but especially at such a young age as 25 it is so tragic.
But at least he passed away doing what he loved to do the most.
Bat and score runs.
Sometimes we human beings get lost in a quagmire of sporting rivalry and squabble.
Something like this just makes all that seem pretty silly.
Cricket must go on though and so should bouncers.
Phil himself understood they are part of the game, I very much doubt he would have wanted bouncers outlawed in his memory.
He was an aggressive, attacking batsman who set out to play positively. I feel sure he would have wanted the game to continue to be played in that positive and competitive spirit that he embodied so well.
R.I.P.

Great post well said. I totally agree but as a Cricketer myself its very sobering to realise just what damage those cricket balls can do!!

RE: Phil Hughes RIP
Although am not really a massive cricket fan at all and I didn't really know him; I thought I write to pay my respect and condolences to the late Phillip Hughes who sadly passed away Thursday 27th November 2014 aged 25. His sad passing is even more heartbreaking since his death came three days before his 26th birthday

I can't imagined the loss Mr. Hughes's greiving family, friends, fellow Australian teammates and the whole Australian cricket family must be going through during this very sad, heartbreaking times

My thoughts, prayers and condolences to Phillip Hughes's family during this very sad time

R.I.P. Phillip Joel Hughes

According to Dave Richardson, who is the chief executive of the ICC, it is 'very unlikely' that the ICC will change or amend it's laws regarding the bowling of short pitched deliveries (bouncers).
