The Forum

All things in perspective. I sometimes take a step back and reflect on the fact that the central purpose of this forum is discussion of televised soft core porn. On the one hand, it boggles the mind that we can take such a frivolous thing so seriously. Yet the mind boggles just as much that the those of us united by such a frivolous thing can keep the discussion as civil and measured as it is.

Look at the scroll next to a youtube feed of any 'serious' newscast and you'd think the country was only populated by crazed, xenophobic, misogynistic shitheads. This is Chatham House by comparison.

So, no, the forum is not dying. The tenor and tempo changes from time to time, but it all seems the same to me.

(And another shout out to the mods for somehow keeping it all in check while seeming more like fellow members than prison guards)

Newbies don't do themselves any favours picking 'fights' with established members and then they claim that the forum is for all opinions and they can't express themselves-well yes you can just don't have a go at someone who has more experience of this place than you do. It is best to ignore anyone that gives you grief and of course you have the block option-which is useless if you haven't signed in because you can still see what that person has said about you-so you have to sign in and stayed signed in.
Goodfella3041 makes a good point about the side comments on Youtube posts, some really start flame wars for absolutely no reason and the language is far from grown-up either.

We adapt and move on, many channels have died, but we're still here.

We've had our dark days and it cost a lot of people their memberships, some apologised and were given another chance (we are all about second chances for those who are willing to change), but some are gone and best forgotten. We won't allow things to go back to that level of bullshit. We're a friendly bunch of mods, until we're not

The best advice I can give in regards to disagreements, is don't stir, try to agree to disagree and move on, grudges don't work.
I've banned a lot of people (still not as many as Steve ) and I only take pleasure when they are spambots and genuine troublemakers, people who get chance after chance, make something out of nothing, or just won't be reasonable can actually be a loss. There have been several well liked members who, for one reason or another, have been removed by us, or admin, it's never personal in those cases (despite what they may think), it's for the good of the forum.

People have broken the rules and have been rightly punished and banned for it. Other people have made amends for their past evil deeds and been given second chances - and have turned their reputations around to become respected members of the forum.

There's always changes on a forum, and we've all got our own opinions on which channels and babes are our favourites. I think this place has evolved through the years and this is reflected in the changing preferences in channels and shows that people like to watch. It's all about changing times and how a forum such as this moves with those times to provide an enjoyable haven for it's members to vent their opinions.

I'd point to the recent awards / competitions season on here which I think had a fantastic response. The members awards, babe competitions and non-babe competitions have all been very well supported.

I'm very grateful for the safe and pleasurable experiences that this forum continues to provide and long may it continue. We all need an escape from the daily grind of the real world and we might as well get that escape whilst posting about our favourite ladies.

Yeah unfortunately the ignore function is useless on here, its easier said than done to ignore trolls and WUM's sadly, most of the time i do these days but its impossible to do 100% of the time

Funny thing is the people who call me a whiteknight or a crybaby are fanboys, closet fanboys and crybabies themselves, its called hypocrisy
