Yes I am pleased for Ryan Day especially after the drawn out semi final battle against Robbie Williams where both players struggled desperately. For him to recover and play some really sound snooker less than 24 hours on was highly creditable.
He made a series of frame winning contributions and was relentless.
Superb performance.

Hawkins beat Milkins Sad Some kind of random draw shenanigans has led to Murphy v Lisowski this evening, and Hawkins set to play either Mark Allen or Kyren Wilson. Meanwhile other schmucks like Ken Doherty and Rod Lawler are running somewhat amuck.

Si Jiahui KO'd Neil Robertson, and Ding Junhui disposed of Luca Brecel.

John Higgins got beaten 4-1 by Robbie Williams while Mark Allen was trounced 4-0 by Kyren Wilson.
Mark Williams battled past Gary Wilson 4-2 while reigning champion Ryan Day is out after losing 4-2 to Ali Carter.

Barry Hawkins has recovered from losing the opening frame to see off Kyren Wilson 4-1 in today's afternoon session.
Scott Donaldson has beaten Robbie Williams by the same score.
And another 4-1 winner..........
Mark Selby beating Si Jiahiui.
