why do people watch pop idol?

I dont think 'pop idol' is on any more? Its x factor now, but i didnt see it tonight, whent straight from elite to big brother then bangbabes!

X Factor last night was actually quite good for once, a lot of funny, embarrsing people again who make a right arse of themselves, but there's one guy at the end i like, big afro guy singing Kings of Leon's Sex on Fire song.
