RE: Football stats
OK then here's a few more from the Championship:

Blackpool have made the most substitutions (77 out of a possible 81).
Bristol City's David James is over 40 years old. Only Neil Sullivan of Doncaster Rovers is older.
Burnley have only used 23 players this season. Only Birmingham City have used less with 22. There are 4 clubs which have used 30 players or more.
Coventry City have used the least players over the age of 30 (2).
Crystal Palace have used the most players under the age of 21 (12).
Derby County have used the most players of at least 21 but no older than 30 (17).
Hull City have been involved in the most matches in which one goal was scored (13 of their 27 matches finishing 1-0).
Leeds Utd have been awarded the most penalties in away matches (3).
Nottingham Forest have lost the most matches by 3 goals or more (5).
Portsmouth have had 3 different owners this season. The only other club with more than one owner is Reading with 2.
Southampton have the most substituted player, Guilherme do Prado (taken off 18 times).
Watford's Mark Yeates has provided 4 assists for Marvin Sordell, the highest assist-goalscorer combination in the league.

RE: Football stats
A few stats following today's FA Cup Final won by Chelsea:

Didier Drogba became the first player to score in 4 different FA Cup Finals.

John Terry became the first player to captain a club to 4 FA Cup wins.

Ashley Cole beat his own record for FA Cup wins as a player, setting a new mark of 7 wins (3 with Arsenal, 4 with Chelsea).

This was the first final since 1989 in which both managers had previously won the cup as a player (Roberto di Matteo and Kenny Dalglish).

In winning the Cup Roberto di Matteo became the 16th winning manager to have also won the cup as a player. Kenny Dalglish is one of the other 15.

Roberto Di Matteo became the 3rd Italian manager in a row to win the FA Cup following Carlo Ancelotti in 2010 and Roberto Mancini last year.

Blackburn are the only former Premier League champions that have been relegated.

True - but when Man City win the title next week, they'll be another team to have won it and have been relegated previously.

How times have changed over the last decade - Blackburn's fortunes plummeted and City's very much on the way back.

RE: Football stats
Only Van Persie, Rooney and Aguero scored more Premier League goals in season 2011/12 than Blackburn's Yakubu. With 17 goals he was the second highest goalscorer ever for a club relegated from the Premier League, beaten only by Andy Johnson who scored 21 for Crystal Palace when relegated in 2004/05.
