Warner Bros. has released a new official plot synopsis for The Dark Knight Rises:

"Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ The Dark Knight Rises is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy. It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good. For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act. But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda. Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile. But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane."

Looks like the film will be just over 2hours and 44mins.

Marvel Studios has revealed concept art for Iron Man 3 which will be shown at the San Diego Comic-Con next week and given away as posters(painted by regular Marvel concept artist Ryan Meinerding).

Also on The Avengers blu ray coming in September there will be a 12 min short tim called "Item 47" The short itself stars Marvel newcomers Lizzy Caplan (True Blood, Party Down) and Jesse Bradford (Flags of our Fathers). It will focus on a young couple who find one of the weapons left over from the alien invasion seen in The Avengers, and proceed to go all Bonnie & Clyde with it. Meanwhile two S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, played by Maximiliano Hernández (seen in Thor and The Avengers) and Titus Welliver (Lost’s Man in Black himself, making his Marvel debut) are tasked with stopping the couple and retrieving the alien weaponry.
Some Ghostbusters 3 news Dan Aykroyd has said that film has picked up new writing staff and that new script has to be perfect.

The as-of-yet unannounced Marvel film for 2014 has been moved from it's original release date of May 16, 2014 to August 1, 2014. Speculation points toward the long-rumored Guardians of the Galaxy there maybe more news about it at the San Diego Comic-Con.

The other upcoming films on the Marvel Studios slate are Iron Man 3 on May 3, 2013, Thor 2 on November 15, 2013 and Captain America 2 on April 4, 2014.

With the Dark Knight Rises out in a few weeks a little Batman trivia the boots on Batman suit worn by Michael Keaton in the first two Batman film were designed by Nike and there was going to be a early appearance of Dick Grayson. A scene from Batman Forever was changed it involves the scene were The Riddler and Two Face break into Wayne manor they shoot Bruce Wayne but was meant to happen is that he losses his memory and doesn't remember being Batman, the end sequence is still there but it just doesn't show he lost his memory. The next film after that god awful film Batman And Robin was meant to be Batman Triumphant would have still featured the return of George Clooney, Chris O'Donnell and Alicia Silverstone. The Scarecrow, Harley Quinn and Jack Nicholson was to reprise his role from the Tim Burton film as the Joker of course Batman and Robin bombed the idea of Batman Year one came up and they were just about to do a live action version Batman Beyond but that was dropped and the rose the film Batman Begins
