RE: Batman v Superman- Dawn of Justice
All tho people are intitled there opinon on a film i don't agree that they have to copy marvel, for example The Flash is more of comic book type of show where it uses humour, special effects, it's tone is light and over its not very serious now compare this in contrast to Daredevil based on a comic book but compared to The Flash it's gritty, violent, gory has no humour and it's serious and realistic yet both shows are polar opposite but both work in thee own right. So you don't need to copy someone else something work as long it has a good story and plot, it's acted well and directed well it doesn't matter whether a super hero film is very comic book in tone like most marvel films or you can have a dark gritty super hero films like the Dark Knight trilogy which provide you can portray a film like that and be successful. Most people forget that the blade films are actually marvel again look at the time of first two films gritty, gory, violence and blood and people die by the bucket loads compare this then to Avengers, Captain America or Iron America.
As for Lex Luthor without spoiling the film in the comics his greatest asset was his mind not his physical stature and he always looked like he could hurt a fly his intellect was second to Brainiac, Lex would always use his intelligence manipulate people into getting what he wants or destroying superman and even when he failed no one could ever tie to him even tho Supeman knew it was him, his faked his own death before and duped people into thinking he was Lex's son and turned Supergirl and Superboy against Superman. He helped create Superboy who was a clone half Superman and half Lex and put a fail safe in his DNA to control to destroy Superman. In the animated movie public enemies Lex manipulated his way to being president and was about to hit by a meteorite what does Lex do uses disaster into blaming superman and batman and used the JLA and other super heroes along with the people with to turn on them that's how Lex is he puts in a public image that butter wouldn't melt in his mouth but behind that facade is evil, cold and calculating. Whether actor or director and writer have done a good job of portraying this is subjective to anyone's individuals opinion.
As for BvS I think you'll get more out of it if you've read the graphic novels like the killing joke, the dark knight returns parts 1,2 and 3, Batmsn hush and especially death in the family. Marvel is more accessible as you don't have to read any of the comics or graphic novels. Both Marvel and DC films are fine in the direction there taking yeah some films will be hit or miss but like the fact we have a diverse set of films rather then just clones and remakes of the same films which Hollywood is littered with at the moment. Films will be subjective depending on the individuals opinion and view of any given film.
