Wow Black Panther Nominated for Best picture at the oscars

Black Panther isn't the best superhero movie, but is an important one, it's good that superhero movies are creeping into the mix.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is also listed (animation), as is Avengers: Infinity War (visual effects), so Marvel have done well.

Personally best picture nah the one should have been nominated and won a couple years back was Logan.

The real reason why the Oscars are taking super hero films seriously is because they have to. People now consider the oscars now boring remember it’s funny that a while ago they weren’t giving super hero films the time of day even when films were good point of example Logan.
As for Black Panther being a important remember films like Blade did that many years yet people forget or look at Wonder Woman whether people like the film or not that was a important too in having a strong female lead character she wasn’t the first that goes to Supergirl and it had a female director too that did a lot and paved the way for films like Captain Marval and soon Black Widow, Kevin Feige even admitted before doing those films he waited to see the success of Wonder Woman. People forget the impact the character had on young women as a role model and breaking into male dominate genre you only have to look at the amount of people that cos play as her and Harley Quinn. The Oscars tried to make themselves more hip by creating that new category which people complained about and they later scrapped.
The Ocars now has become a damned if do damned if you don’t when the other year when all the awards where given to white actors and some of black actors boycotted it. Now the oscars have to give or nominate a person of colour because they’ll get accused of being racist again so are they really winning the award on merit or are the people running doing it so there’s up roar again and thus coming from a person like myself that is a person of colour. There’s already tension as the best director award is all. Remember it’s the same people running the oscars during the uproar, if they were truly serious why not freshen up the people running the oscars.

Hope they give Spike lee best director cant believe its his first directing nomination. they like to do that give award to someone crininally overlooked

Panther was a " willie nomination" just there to prevent accusations of racial bias.

Yeah i don't get it to be honest i mean for me personally i thought it was okay not in the top ten marvel films i enjoyed aquaman more than black panther this really is just a racial thing its so see through how is black panther a better film than logan ? Or even my favourite superhero movie x-men days of future's past ? Its not... its just because it a black people movie and im not saying theres anything wrong with that but lets be real here

Mission Impossible:Fallout, Infinity War and even Hereditary were better than Panther but they did not fit the right demographic.

Mission impossible fallout was the film of the year
