Yesterday saw a very dramatic quarter final match between the USA and Brazil with the USA just edging it. The reaction to the match has been enormous with some of the media calling it the best game ever in women's football. For the record, USA won on penalties after a drama charged 2-2 draw.

England's players are now being spoken of as penalty shirkers. Hope Powell says she had to ask 3 times to get volunteers for the penalty shoot out.

I don't no why they're being called that as the penalties weren't that bad it was just the keeper who made no effort although some media reports say she had a shoulder injury. Claire Rafferty the player who missed her kick was making her World Cup debut at 22.

Even though I posted a bit of a grumble on the first page, given what I've said above you can't be too harsh on them, but this is England after all & what the media says will always rule over public opinion!!!

The Brazil v USA game was a good one & pretty tense at times but you just got the feeling that with the way Brazil play the big Hollywood finish was always on the cards for the USA.

USA's keeper Hope Solo is quite a catch.... See what I did there.
