The game looked slightly different from the away end! I thought we played really well in the 1st half and controlled the game but fair play to Liverpool they started the 2nd half really well and it took us 20 minutes to get back into the game. The subs that came on made a real difference. It was a terrible error by Reina but I'd rather have him in goal than Almunia any day of the week! I'd be happy if we signed Schwarzer but ecstatic if we signed Given!

Well it cant get any better than that for our first home game back in the premier league and i doubt it will lol

What a performance from the lads today 6-0 against Aston villa what a result they just could not handle Andy Carroll at all his movement of the ball was just unplayable a times.

Had no idea why they didn't have Dunne marking him mind instead of some rookie trying to cope with him.

Even though Villa wasn't at there best today a hope this proves all the people wrong who was trying to right us off saying we were gonna go strait back down.

Especially one of those Sky sports pundits who slated us for our performance against Man united which i thought we didn't do to bad considering.

hey trickster, how serious are newcastle gonna take the carling cup ? do you reckon they'll play a similar team that wipe the floor with the villa ? the reason i ask is because im gonna av go on the accumalator

oh and another thing do we have replays in the carling cup anymore or do we have to have a winner ?

No replays. It's extra time then penalties on the night.

I'm proud of my team's performance (Oxford United) at West Ham last night in the Carling Cup. It took them 92 mins 52 seconds to break us, and only then they had to bring on their big guns to do it. They were absolute garbage. If i were a supporter of other Premier League teams i'd be rubbing my hands in anticipation of playing them, for on last night's show they're really going to struggle this season.

Not happy at all just seen the news that we have put Steven taylor up for sale this is not good.

I just hope its another false rumour as i cant see the logic in doing it at all he is a geordie lad born and bred.
