RE: Paris attacks
^^^ Be nice if western politicians would go on tv slamming themselves for bombing the fuck out of Iraq, Libya, Syria and fuck knows where else, giving rise to the refugee crisis and creating the conditions that has allowed radicalisation to flourish, and apologising on behalf of all westerners. Will that happen? Doubt it.

What has happened has not taken place on behalf of Islam, and other muslims have nothing to apologise for. Bear in mind that in places like Syria, the vast majority of people being killed by Isis are muslim, and the vast majority of people fighting Isis are muslim, and the refugees in the camps have fled their homelands to get away from the people and the ideology that carried out these attacks. Look beyond the Daily Mail headlines and don't tar everyone with the same brush.

The inability of people to give contradictory views to other members on the forum without being rude and aggressive is second to none.
I don't actually read the daily mail. I read the times.
I know it's not all Muslims that's why if they publicly denounced them it will reassure a lot of people that they don't represent the views of Islam. They are just a bunch of arseholes using cause of Islam an an excuse to exercise their agenda, it would reassure a lot of people. That is the problem Islam is seen as eastern ideology rather than as a religion. People see it as west against east thing. If Muslims from England openly condemned them stating they do more harm than good for the Muslim cause, people would be less likely to tar them all with the same brush.

What about Charlie Hebdo? That was not due to atrocities committed by the west.

At the risk of being called a xenophobe, Islamophobe or worse a daily mail reader.

Times Monday nov 16 2015

' indications suggest that one of those who blew themselves up may have possessed a passport consistent with a man who entered the greek island of Leros claiming refugee status a few weeks earlier'

'if just 0.1 per cent of the refugees who have officially entered the European Union are would-be terrorist (one for every thousand genuine refugees) we are looking at 1200 potential murders in sleeper cells within the borders of Europe'

RE: Paris attacks
All very convenient that amidst all the meticulous planning for the attacks one of them 'carelessly' drops his passport at the scene completely unmarked or damaged in any way?. Seems now that the suspicion is the passport was most likely a fake made in Turkey. As I understand it the murderers identified so far have all been French nationals living in Belgium. Remains to be seen who the others turn out to be.[/i]

Irrespective of anything else, it's only a matter of time before we see another attack on our civil liberties in the name of "national security".

^The passport holder was fingerprinted when he was processed by Greek authorities last month. The passport may or may not be fake but the fingerprints on the body they have in Paris aren't, unless you think these guys are Mission: Impossible style super terrorists and not mass murdering religious zealots.

To be fair I think the French levels of surveillance is very poor compared to the UK. I think in the last year alone our security forces have foiled at least 7 planed attacks on the UK.

The vast majority of the people killed by ISIS have been Muslims. The number of westerners killed is quite small in comparison.

I only watch news by accident and noticed this yesterday.

Wasn't France against any action in the middle east?
