According to Sky Sports News and Eurosport, Ferdinand was injured when Heskey tackled him, not when he was chasing him, and I am willing to believe those over the Mirror anyday. I don't think that Heskey should be chastised for it though because everybody has said it was a complete accident and more to do with the way Rio fell than the way Heskey tackled him. I do hate Heskey though and I don't think he should be there.

Rio Ferdinand said today in an interview for Sky Sports News that he went to tackle Emile Heskey and lost his balance and fell awkwardly and that caused the injury.
