Metro Bank One-Day Cup

^^ Despite the terrible forecast today, they have made a prompt start at Trent Bridge. I fear it will be to no avail, as the radar suggests showers into the evening & heavy rain around 1-2pm.
A match constitutes 20 overs per side minimum. What you don't want to see is 40 overs in the 1st innings & then no more play, this tends to happen as the umpires don't look at the bigger picture & try the get the longest possible game. They are in a tough position, if the expected rain misses & they have completed a 20 over per side game with hours left & bright sunshine there would be complaints.

EDIT : My mistake I see that common-sense has prevailed & it seems that todays play has started as a minimum 20 over per side game.
