RE: Liz Truss - Prime Minister and her Incompetent Government
Burns is the sixth Tory MP to have the whip removed or to leave politics over allegations of misconduct in 18 months, averaging out at one every three months.
One of the big messages of Truss' conference speech was the idea of an anti growth coalition, a sort of populist move to create an us vs them narrative. Kind of felt like she was trying to reanimate the culture wars of the Brexit debate, the anti growth lot are the Labour Party, SNP, people who live in town houses in North London & do podcasts (sounds like the remainer elite. The pro growth are the salt of the earth white van men or to put it in simpler terms if you agree with me you are pro growth, if not you are anti growth and by extension anti Britain talking the country down.
Unfortunately for her she's going to find that a lot of the anti growth lot are in her own party, who come from constituencies that are hostile to her plans to change the regulations around development, building on the green belt, fracking etc. She seems to view the enviroment as an obstacle to growth yet the enviroment in this context is in traditional rural areas that tend to vote Tory. We got a glimpse of this in relation to her interview on BBC Lancashire over fracking and how the opposition was coming from local Tories.
Truss wants to get a trade deal with India done which would lead to an increase in visa for Indian nationals and an increase in immigration. Immigration is something that Truss realises is good for growth, yet her Home Sec Suella Braverman wants to bring immigration down to the 10s of 1000s and said that it was her "dream" to see planes of asylum seekers leaving the UK for Rwanda. Putting aside that that is a depressing sad thing for a person to dream of, Truss seems to have appointed an anti growth Home Sec.
As for the information campaign around energy usage, it seems that she doesn't want to do it because it would appear to be to nanny state, this argument is just absolute nonsense. First of all something being nanny state is in relation to a policy being imposed on people i.e the sugar tax to help with their health. An information campaign that provides suggestions whilst leaving it up to the individual to make a choice is not nannying
Second we're not talking about a minor issue here, we are talking about a crisis, giving people information on how to better their situation during a crisis is not nannying them.
Third the information campaign has been put forward by Jacob Rees Mogg, if anyone thinks that he is in favor of the nanny state (yes he was raised by one) they really are suffering from stage 4 brain rot. We really are through the looking glass when JRM is the voice of reason on a topic.
If i could find a girl that had the looks of Gal Gadot, breasts of Sophie Mudd with Demi Rose's ass, the personality of Jessica Ennis, the grace of Kendall Jenner on the red carpet and then behind closed doors the raw sexual energy of Nicole Snow i'd know i was dead and gone to heaven, so i'll just take Demi Rose's ass and Nicole's sexual energy
