You don't think it looks to nakedly political to be of benefit to him, that with Baillie backing him and Alexander and Murray backing the PM it opens a rift in Labour in general & Scottish Labour in particular making them look more of a shitshow ? Channel 4 last night called it a failed coup, surely he's going to be getting that put to him in constant media rounds along with "how could a first minister Sarwar work with Number 10 when they are so at odds ?" Instead of removing No. 10 from the debate he's made it front and centre ?

Fuck knows. But yeah, opinion this morning does seem to be that he thought he had assurances behind the scenes that others would follow.
