Now this story caught my eye recently involving Lindsay Sandiford, a 56-year-old English woman busted at Bali Airport for drug smuggling cocaine worth an estimated street value of 1.6 million pounds. Here she is being paraded to the press which is common in indonesia to act as a deterrent to anybody who might be thinking likewise. If found guilty she will face the death penalty via the firing squad.



Now I'd just like to say not for one minute do I condone her actions, she is a very silly women and selfish to the core trying to make that kind of easy money but I am firmly opposed to the death penalty.

I oppose the death penalty for all crimes but especially in one such as this, fair enough lock her up but state or country executions are just morally wrong. It's barbaric and should not be used at all as a form of punishment. I do think she does deserve a lengthy prison sentence for this but not death. But they don't fuck around in these countries. The UK may be soft on drugs, in the this country she'd be looking at a sentence of about 10 years but out there they mean business.

Ya I don't support the death penalty either, I think a life sentence and I mean a life sentence not getting early on good behaviour is the proper way to punish people for serious crimes. I am aware though from reading various newspapers that the justice system is not great in Britain
