RE: Hillsborough
Colbert - couldn't agree more. South Yorkshire Police should be held accountable for their actions but my suspicions have always been that any cover up was ordered from far higher.
Same here with Hillsborough - I can't look at that ground.
All our thoughts should be with those families today. By the way, for those of you who don't know this is a 30 year Man United fan talking and one of the reasons I don't understand the ridiculous rivalry/hatred that exists between us is that apart from being the best, most successful teams in english football our history's both include great tragedy.
Kelly - as far as I know Kelvin mckenzie has never apologised - there was (may be still is) an unofficial ban on the sun (news)paper in liverpool for many years after.
would all those wishing to take part in today's round of multiple username bingo please note emails must be submitted before 5pm

RE: Hillsborough
I also remember that day well watching grandstand when they switched over to Hillsborough live to report what was happening . I wasnt old enough to know any better about what was happening (I was only 12) but I knew something terrible had happened. I had only been going to the football with my dad for a couple of years (to see Celtic) . I had always idolised Kenny Dalglish though through Celtic and Scotland so had a soft spot for Liverpool. I also remember my dad taking me to the tribute game when Liverpool came up to Celtic Park - We were beaten 5-1 that day but the scoreline was irrelevant. It was about the healing of a football club.
I dont think that bond will ever be broken between Liverpool and Celtic and I have been to Anfield many times and have always been welcomed.
As Im older now I understand more about the justice campaign and for any of these families to get closure something must be done . Those scumbag so called journos who to this day still will not apolgise for their actions must also be held accountable for the damage and distress they have caused also.
Here is a link to the tribute match I attended if anyone is interested
