RE: Ban Lads Mags
think it's a waste of time this attempt to get tescos to ban lads mags as Tesco's have already agreed to tighten up how they sell lads mags by making them only available to over 18's, put them on the top shelf and also have got nuts mag to tone down their covers.
agree with doddle, the lads mags have had their day now, I personally haven't bought one in a long time. also agree with doddle's point that it is sexist this attempt to ban lads mags from tescos. the feminists are kicking off about the images of women topless or in lingerie or bikinis on the covers of lads mags yet there are identical images of women topless etc on the covers of womens magazines and celebrity gossip mags yet the feminists are not outraged about them. I was in my local tescos earlier and on the cover of a womens mag was two women in bikinis and one topless
I think like with all previous attempts to ban lads mags and page 3 this latest attempt will fail and the lads mags will survive. for how long they will survive is another matter as the sales of lads mags overall have declined dramatically. front magazine in its heyday had sales figures of 400,000 and now it's sales are around 40,000 it was reported in the news a few weeks ago
